Free NHS Blood Presure Check
We are now registered to provide free NHS blood pressure checks for patients over 40 who are not currently diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure). Patients under 40 years old may also be eligible for the service dependent on clinical evaluation. Dependent on the result of the BP check we have different pathways to proceed. If the results indicate high blood pressure we can also offer a free NHS 24 hour blood pressure monitoring service.
If you are eligible for this additional service, we will provide and set up a 24 hour blood pressure monitor which will track you blood pressure over the course of the 24 hours. This gives the most detailed and accurate blood pressure readings which we can then provide to your GP. The 24 hour blood pressure monitor must be returned to the pharmacy within 48 hours to ensure the data can be captured from the device.
